Three Bedrooms, One Corpse is about a girl named Roe Teagarden, aka Roe, who just quit her job at the library, inherited a lot of money from Jane and is now starting to become a realtor just like her mom. In the midst of all this, she is also trying to find house of her own. On the day of the Anderton house showing, Roe’s mom was falling behind schedule so she asked Roe to show the house for her. Things didn’t go according to plan with her first showing. As Row began to take a walk through of the house with Martin Bartell and his sister, she approaches one bedroom and she discovers the corpse of a fellow realtor, Tonia Lee Greenhouse, who had been strangled. At that moment, Roe realized that that she had to work hard to solve the crime. While working to solve the crime, sparks fly between Roe and Martin. Throughout the book, Roe and Martin try to solve the mystery while their love for one another grows stronger. On the night of the annual realtor's banquet, something interesting had caught her eye that changed everyone's thought about the case. Standing up to the killer meant risking her life to find proof and catch the killer, but at the end it paid off.[image error]
I've been really getting into the cosy mystery books lately so I was very much excited to pick up Three Bedrooms, One Corpse.I do feel like the Aurora Teagarden books are a little less on the cosy side as quite a few of the mystery series I've been reading as these ones have a bit more detail about the actual murders. This doesn't tend to bother me though. I think the main thing is that there is a little bit of investigating by these amateur sleuths and that couples with luck get a mystery solved.One thing I liked about this one is that it had Aurora out and doing more investigating. The previous book didn't have so much of that but in this one it felt more like I was going along with Aurora and checking out different people's actions and getting more clues. It was just really good.I didn't actually guess who the murderer was. I think in some ways this was because I was kind of more swept up in the story as a whole that I wasn't spending the time to think about who could have committed the crime and why.Overall, I really enjoyed reading Three Bedrooms, One Corpse. I've already read the synopsis for the next book in the series and it sounds highly intriguing.

I was pretty close to guessing the murderer this time. However, I was very disheartened by the many things left unresolved. Roe decides (in her head) to change boyfriends, and there is no actual breakup with Aubrey. Weird. Then there is a whole mysterious back ground story to the new boyfriend's line of work, also not explained. This all probably leads right into the next book, like the Sookie situations. What I did like was that because this story is older, no cell phones. It really makes crime solving more interesting doesn't it? But the main character still runs around alone knowing there is a murderer on the loose. Even seeks out said murderer. Without a way out, either really brave or really dumb. Hmmmm...

I gave Charlaine Harris and Aurora Teagarden more leeway with the first two books, but this entry had real problems. Aurora is very shallow and whiny and I find it very difficult to like her in this book, especially the way she thinks about her pastor boyfriend Aubrey and then her new boyfriend Martin. I have to think that something is being saved up for a book further along in the series regarding Martin, because he's referred to as dangerous by several characters and he's very possessive and s
