Reading this book caused what Stephen R.Covey called: A Paradigm Shift; I wasn't looking at things that way, but now I can see!.It made me clearly distinguish between the primitive man inside of me, and the modern one who knows that collecting too many things for storage purposes isn't a wise nor a good thing to do. This perception changed my life. It simply eliminated the inner struggle for the right decision that I had to go through every time I got stuck between both sides inside my head.Once you understand what your brain is craving for, it will only be a matter of internal energy guidance. And this book will give you this understanding. I couldn't resist reading the book in one big gulp. It's fun and engaging. The premise is that in order to overcome willpower challenges, we need to understand the predictable ways that humans fail. Four stars only because there's so much review material for anyone conversant in behavioral psychology research. The book is a little too light for my tastes. And now, I will follow Kelly McGonigal's suggestion and read it chapter by chapter, over a 10 week period, as though I too were enrolled in her willpower course. Let's see if I can fit back into my skinny jeans by Dec 28!
