There is a reason behind everything but that can sometimes clash against the existence of will as Alex and Mr Peterson face. When quiet geekish Alex (a kid hit by a meteorite) is chased by school bullies, we can safely call a bunch of baboons - To escape, he hides inside a shed and is encountered by the owner - "cowboy with a gun" ok really a loud grumpy old man with his crutch. (Mr Peterson) What do the two have in common that leads to an unlikely friendship? "Im putting myself completely at your mercy here, you understand that?""That's not really how I think of it""That's how you SHOULD think of it..." From that point on, there could be no turning back. Our pact was made....Simple and funny, wrote from a 17 year olds POV. Read The Universe Vs Alex Woods to unravel their peculiar journey that questions integrity and what others deem ethically correct. I've realized that I have a thing for books that have a child protagonist! Or Somehow unique, bullied, reserved child to be more specific. And I say this with other books like 'wonder', 'okay for now', 'memoirs of an imaginary friend' and 'Wednesday wars' in mind. And no, not because I can relate to it somehow! I just enjoy the writing style.Plot was a mix of different books I have already read but really loved the characters. So glad I picked this one up.
Do You like book The Universe Versus Alex Woods (2013)?
Lovely. A book about Vonnegut and friendship and meteoroids and death and it was simply lovely.
