I think this book is a textbook example of "my bookshop keeper didn't do his job properly". By that, I mean that there is a small English section in said bookshop, and it's divided into General fiction, SF/Fantasy/Thrillers, Non fiction, and Kids/YA. This book was in General fiction, and was even highlighted in the section; but the target age is clearly 8-12 years old. Oh well. I had it, I read it ;-) (And I'll be more careful next time I go to that bookshop.)So it's the story of Louise, who is 12 and has a passion for vintage clothing and a closet full of it (cough*credibility*cough), and gets invited to a vintage clothing sale (cough*credibility*cough). (Okay, I'm joking on the credibility part. I mean, Famous Five, come on. Enough said. But I still enjoy(ed) them a lot).Louise tries on a dress, faints, and finds herself... on the Titanic. And essentially, that's it :)I must say, it was cute, and the illustrations were nice. I'm not entirely sure WHAT I was expecting when picking up this book, definitely not profound litterature, but still, because of the hit and miss on the target, I felt a bit disappointed by the whole thing. Probably quite nice for the targetted public though.
Do You like book The Time-Traveling Fashionista (2011)?
A really light read because it is more for the middle aged group but it is entertaining nonetheless!

Super cute story! And neat to read on the eve of the 102nd anniversary of the Titanic sinking.

I thought it was very creative and had a very surprising twist in fantasy.
