Another lovely story in a continuing series about the very large and very loving O'Brien family. In this one we finally meet Luke, youngest son of Jeff and Jo, as he decides to open an Irish pub in Chesapeake Shores. Moira O'Malley (from the previous book) comes from Ireland with her grandfather to visit with Nell, and she ends up working closely with Luke as well as working on her photography with Megan. There's a lot of love in the air, with an especially warm and heartwarming ending. Once again, we are reunited with many of the O'Briens who have been featured in previous stories, like meeting up with old friends. Speaking of old friends, we see the friendship between Nell (Gram) and Dillon progress as they spend more time together Some lovely quotes from a wedding are, "I will love you with the very best part of who I am." and "For whatever time we are given, I will count you as my greatest blessing." How did I feel about this book. . .I've enjoyed others better. When I picked it up I was not aware that it was the 9th book in the Chesapeake Series. I shortly found myself was bored by the Moira/Luke storyline. Maddening Moira was just that, she was not only stubborn but wanted it her way or no way. FranklyI got tired of her dreadful moaning. Many times, I stopped and questioned if I should continue to plod through the book but since I pride myself in always finishing whatever I start, I did just that!
Do You like book The Summer Garden (2012)?
I must admit I found Moira a little annoying but the family background made it worthwhile to read.
