About book Moonlight Cove (Chesapeake Shores #6) (2000)

Another story in the Chesapeake Shores series. This time this story is about the youngest daughter Jess and Will, who had loved her since he was fourteen. Jess always felt like she was a mess up because she had ADD and after her Mother left the family when she was seven, her self esteem hit bottom. It was up to Will to help her find her self worth and to convince her that she could trust him. Unfortunately her family kept getting involved and butting their noses in where they should not have been but Jess finally overcame this handicap. I had a hard time finishing this book. It was an audio book and a good part of the problem was the person reading it. I didn't care for her voice and didn't like her inflections. She put emphasis on strange parts of the sentence and did this continually throughout the whole book. However, the writing was the other bad part. There was far too much drama. Every character had some problem or something they were afraid of. It was too much. The main character had ADD and the author made this out to be a huge deal which was unnecessary. It just didn't come across as believable to me. I don't think I will be reading any of Sherryl Woods books in the future.
