The Sex Club is a whodunit police mystery/thriller reminiscent of one of my more recent favorite shows, AMC's The Killing (RIP!); it definitely kept me guessing until the end. However, for a book with so many dramatic and scandalous plot lines, I thought the writing was a little dry and lacked emotion. The author is obviously pro-choice, and this theme is consistent throughout the book, but since I am of the same opinion, it didn't bother me, and I don't feel like the reader is necessarily beaten over the head with it. Another new series which I picked up because they were reduced on kindle. Am now disappointed that I only downloaded the first two to see what they were like. A planned parenthood is targeted by "God's messenger" who believes it is her duty to stop women having abortions. At the same time a girl's naked body is found and Detective Jackson is shocked to find out it is the body of his daughter's childhood best friend. He has to pu his feelings aside and concentrate on who killed her.A great first book in the series and I will now read the second before hunting down some more.
Do You like book The Sex Club (2013)?
