About book The Seventh Sister, A Vampire Romance (2000)

This series is not fair. I loved the first book with Clarity then started this book and now I love Zill. This flip-flopping is going to take its toll on me. I need to be in both ladies' heads! So yeah this was a good follow up to the first. The time line was condensed but it felt as genuine as a paranormal book can be. There is no instalove here which I think is why I love it so much. And the characters are pretty likeable. Even Zill. She may he mature for her age but the innocence there is enduring. There was one point of inconsistency in it, but it isn't too bad. Fantastic sequel, although it's more of a novella IMO. Zillael...she's a brat. Always feeling that other girls are petty and jealous, yet she herself seems that way. But when you have 'superpowers' and have to go to high school, it would be tough to hang out with normal girls. I enjoyed this brief read of her world, mostly because of the other characters involved. I like the vampire twist, the Wek, the adults who aren't what they seem and the whole fantastical tale. I look forward to what the next sister will have going on, as so far I'm enjoying this series.
