And get the "rules of the universe" right - how long is the transition period, exactly?? And whilst I'm at it, are Damon's eyes dark or blue, because the ghostwriter keeps flipping between them... And they could do with a touch more editing (I imagine they are written and rushed out quite quickly) - this one in particular had things like "site" instead of "sight", etc.Just had to get that out of my system. You'll note I give all these stories three or four stars. I happen to like junk food on occasion (and I happen to LOVE all canon-versions of Damon Salvatore, which I'm sure helps a lot). Celá tahle série patří mezi mé oblíbené oddechovky, které se hrozně dobře čtou, děj rychle plyne a za dvě odpoledne je hotovo. Takové knihy mám ráda a nikdy od nich nečekám příliš mnoho, takže potom u mě mají víceméně kladné hodnocení.U tohohle dílu jsem ale možná udělala trochu chybu, protože jsem si právě dovolila mít jisté očekávání, které se ale bohužel nekonalo. Kvůli originálnímu názvu (The Ripper - ten český mi mimochodem přijde trochu mimo) jsem si myslela, že kniha bude obsahovat hodně akce, krve, mrtvol, upírů, nebo že se alespoň Stefan přestane krmit králíčky a holuby a konečně se stane tím rozparovačem, o kterém v seriálu pořád všichni mluví. Protože teda, přestože měl takové nějaké období ve druhém díle, rozhodně mi nepřišel jako rozparovač. Vždyť zabil sotva dva lidi, než se objevila Lexi, mávla kouzelným proutkem a Stefan byl zase jako beránek. A s tou akčností jsem se taky trochu přepočítala. Sice se tu objevilo pár mrtvých prostitutek a bavilo mě, jak tomu Stefan s Damonem postupně přicházeli na kloub, celé se to ale potom zahrálo do autu. Vlastně si ani nevzpomínám, proč ten dotyčný vůbec vraždil. Tohohle zajímavého tématu se prostě dalo chytit mnohem lépe. Takže konečný verdikt - kniha byla podle mě o něco slabší než předchozí díl, nicméně se mi i tak docela líbila. Hlavně zase kvůli Damonovi, toho mám mnohem radši než Stefana. Škoda, že to není napsané z jeho pohledu, to by bylo něco:)
