Do You like book The Lost City Of Z: A Tale Of Deadly Obsession In The Amazon (2005)?
For the second book I read, I decided to pick the nonfiction book, The Lost City of Z, written by David Grann. I choose this book because the title was very interesting and immediately grabbed my attention. This book was about the British explorer, Percy Fawcett, venturing into the Amazon jungle, in search of a civilization through the woods, as he unravels the exploration of the twentieth century. He had to go through day to day troubles, and also include being sick, but he was able to go and do as much as he could. I would definitely recommend this book to many people. The set group that would like this book most, is any person who likes adventurous novels, or mystery novels. I liked, that this book is very descriptive with all the things that happened during the adventure. The thing I disliked about it, is slowly paced it was, there was every little thing happening during the book, as David wrote it, things went by very low, also.

The Lost City of Z chronicles the adventures of Percy Fawcett and his explorations in the Amazon during the first few decades of the 20th century. Fawcett is a bit of a tragic character, but also admirable in his perseverance and ability to deal with the insane number of hardships that he faced. An excellent book that jumps between Fawcett's expedition and the author's attempts to find out what happened. Sherlock Holmes meets Indiana Jones meets HP Lovecraft, if you can imagine that. I read the book in 4 sittings over 3 days. Awesome.
