The book happy happy happy by Phil Robertson is a touching story of one mans struggles with alcoholism to become the million dollar man he is today. This book teaches the reader perseverance and that you can do anything you put your mind to. In this novel you take the position Phil Roberson as he walks you through his rags to riches lifestyle. This story shows the reader the hardship that one man had to go through to make his way to the top of the duck hunting industry. This novel starts out by telling you about his childhood and how poor his family was and the great lengths they had to go through to survive. Followed by his young adult life and how he loved to play football, baseball and how he married his wife Kay. The story talks a lot about his college life and how he played college football and at one point started over hall of fame Quarter Back Terry Bradshaw. After college football his life begins to take a turn for the worse he turns to alcohol to solve his problems of money and have for the war in Vietnam. "It went on from the time I was twenty-one or twenty-two until I was about twenty-eight. We got drunk on anything we could get our hands on running wild and duck-hunting."(67) Luckily for Phil there was a light at the end of the tunnel and slowly with God grace he began to turn his life around. This book teaches the reader that there is no mountain to steep and no sea to deep to keep you from accomplishing your dreams. As well the reader learns that hard work and perseverance pays off. I would rate happy happy happy four stars because it was an inspirational story that spoke to me as an athlete and a human being. I took one star off of my grading because some of the ways the words were pronounced are hard to read on paper. This is a good overall book and i would recommend this to everyone. Happy Happy Happy is written by Phil Robertson. He book takes about all the obstacles to opening his family business. The plot of the book starts out talking about his childhood and progresses to his life now. It's really cool how the book has southern words and when he is a child it's easier to understand because he talks like he is younger. Thought his life it goes pretty well in the beging and turns out having a really good life. I thought that this book was really good and I would recommend it to someone who wants to learn about celebrities. What I liked about the book is that you could tell he was getting older thought the book because of the more serious words that were used when he was older. One thing I didn't like about the book is hat each chapter was a separate story.
I love this family. Hope one day i could hunt with phil and uncle si Robertson :)
