I don't read too many mystery books, but this one kept me guessing the whole way though. The story is of a woman that must find out what really happened to her father 8 years ago before all these new events get out of hand. She meets several people that have something to do with her father, she travels across the ocean and back, and it seems that everything centers around an old and rather hideous clock in her basement. The characters in the book are interesting and bizarre with unexpected personality twists.
