I enjoyed the writing of this story. I was able to envision the fairie realm and the odd creatures through the well-worded descriptions. This story is filled with action and intertwined story lines. The characters kept me entertained and intrigued. I particularly liked the way the author gave added information in the "Bonus Material" at the end of the book, giving more insight into certain situations by writing from another character's perspective. Well done! I downloaded this book free to my Kindle; I will definitely buy and read book 2. I really enjoyed this book. I didn't finish it as fast as I normally read books but I have been looking for a good Fae book and this one was worth the read. I enjoyed the appearance of the Faeries and seeing their powers. It kind of felt a little like Faeries meets x-men when you figure out the bigger picture at the end. I can't wait to see how Violet develops and her relationships with everyone, especially Ryn change.
This was a really good book. I do feel bad for violet. How sad to have no one.
