I want to start by saying: I can't have a bigger lady-crush on Alex. I swear she is like the combination of all my ex-boyfriends plus an insane love of horror movies, reincarnated. Just kidding I don't have any ex-boyfriends. This is a well written, funny quirky with likable characters and an overall well paced plot. I love how the characters are so mature yet vulnerable in the face of death, and even though Alex takes her best friend's imminent doom with much conflict, she can be all like "F*** it, I can't make things better, but I can take whatever is left and make it a sh*t-load fun. (and get a hot boyfriend in the process)" The characters so imperfect that it's perfect, it makes them seem that much more real that you'll want to reach through the pages and give them a hug.It's just,...the feels man.staph. Solid 3.5. I do love books with bucket lists. There was a lot going on in this book. I would've been interested in Alex creating her own list. Would've given more insight to her character, maybe make her seem less cold-hearted.Sidenote: completely forgot this was the author who went off on a reviewer even though the review wasn't that bad. I suppose it's good I forgot or I wouldn't have read the book.
