Daniel wird von der Familie Walker nach dem Tod seiner Mutter adoptiert. Schnell baut er eine Bindung zu seiner neuen Familie auf und vor allem zu seinem Stiefbruder Jamie. Er beginnt Gefühle für ihn zu entwickeln, die weit über die Beziehung von Bruder zu Bruder hinaus gehen. Fühlt Jamie vielleicht sogar das gleiche wie er und wie wird seine Familie darauf reagieren??Daniel und Jamie sind ein so tolles Paar. Beide sind sehr einfühlsam und hegen von der ersten Sekunde an eine große Zuneigung füreinander. Jamie versucht Daniel vor allem bösen zu beschützen und ist so liebevoll zu ihm. Ich finde auch die Reaktion ihrer Familie toll. Schade das die Gesellschaft in der Realität nicht so offen für eine Mann zu Mann Beziehung, vor allem wenn es Stiefbrüder sind.Fazit: Das Buch war sehr unterhaltsam und sehr gefühlvoll. Es wurde sensibel auf das Thema erste Liebe eingegangen, auf die Beziehung von Mann zu Mann und die Probleme die solche mit sich bringt. Ich hoffe wirklich das es noch einen Folgeband gibt und wir sehen wie es mit den Beiden weiter geht. Da könnte der Autor auch das erste Mal thematisieren. I thoroughly enjoyed this book. The Walkers are just an all around wonderful family. As far as MC's go, Jamie and Daniel was pretty awesome. Both of them were very realistic and just pulled at my heartstrings. A few things kept if from being a 5 star read for me. It ended way too soon. After going through all of the teenage angst with these boys I was disappointed at the ending. I was also a bit put off in Daniels interaction with Julia and Louise, Very choppy chapter that just did not flow with the rest of the book. This interaction could have been huge for Daniel. It fell flat. All of that being said, I would recommend this book to others. Lots of good parts to offset the few not so great things. A sequel would be welcomed!
