The book is a collection of various short stories inspired from the life of people who have come and gone from the author's life. Its rather an average book with few good stories. the language is far too simple for the avid readers and novel worms.Stories, though constructed in the native land of India, might fail to impress you. Some stories may feel like straight from the author's personal diary where she is trying real hard to impress readers and not to impose her own personal feelings. The title story is awkwardly written and concluded. It feels like reading a children's book. I might be over-judging the book for being too simple but am not exaggerating it. Good for new-comers, who are trying really hard to dive into the world and word of novels. I found this book to be pretty much below expectations. I picked up the book from the library and thought that this would be a really good read, with stories of simple, humble, unknown Indians. While some of the stories are good indeed, the book soon palled on me. Perhaps I am being harsh, but there seemed, at times, to be something of the sanctimonious in some of the stories. Too much simple goodness, perhaps, and the author's role in mentoring this. No one can be perfect, but this is what came through in the stories. The stories are written in a style that is simple and accessible, and this is good. However, there was something missing in the book, something that I thought, made the book a below-par read.
