i love the book, to be honest i really didnt expect anything from this book i even thought i wasn't going to finish it. all i needed to do to love this book was to read the first page, and after that i couldn't stop reading.it's well writen and it's now one of my favorite books. I find it amazing because all this happens to kids, inocent kids. Thats what really got me and over all, what they have to do to survive, how unfair everything is, how they have to think and plan and the habilities they have really made the book more interesting for me, they all are powerfull. i really enjoyed the friendship Ruby finds in the books I've owned this book for what feels like foreverrrr, but I kept pushing it to the bottom of the pile because I just wasn't in the mood for the whole "kids with powers get sent to prison/work camp and break out and find a camp of other kids like them but *gasp* there is a corrupt leader". BUT. I liked it. It kept me engaged for the whole story, I laughed, I cried, I beat the book against the ground. It was good. I loved some of the characters, like Zu, and Chubs. I have already bought the next books in the series.
