Do not judge a book by its cover or its Goodreads summary/plot.The book was okay, even though I was expecting something entirely different. I thought I was in for some cute and funny love story. But I was wrong. I did not love the romance between Elena and Thane. It was unnatural, I guess. There was a failure in expressing both of their emotions that will make readers gush. And besides, the romance part wasn't the priority of the book.Even the real story was a bit disappointing... Too many unanswered questions, weak foundation and weak ending. It was okay for some parts, but I got bored with the other parts of the story. I love reading about "love-hate" relationships and this book certainly grabbed my attention because of it. Although, it was quite a bit of a surprise when the story took an unexpected turn.Over-all I liked the book for being a quick read and for its characters. Elena, main heroine, wasn't your typical wishy-washy female and Thane was all alpha male but in a good way. Rhys was another interesting character and I wished to have read more about him. I would also have loved reading more about the dynamics between the two main and secondary characters. The twist in the story could have been treated a bit better, in my opinion. The ending was also a tad bit rushed. Everything just resolved itself; quite anti-climactic.Still, I think this novel is better written than "The Accidental Movie Star" and made me want to read more of the author's work.I agree that the blurb for this story be revised. It doesn't capture the essence of this book at all.
Do You like book The Boarding School Experiment (2012)?
I wanted to like this...but, I felt the big twists in the story were rushed and illogical.
