kate mcdermott is a journalist whose rich father is running for political office. dr. drake morgan is a neurosurgeon whose father and kates father were best friends before his fathers death. drake is now like a son to kates dad. kate is doing a research paper on bdsm and lara, her contact, introduces her to drake, not knowing that they already know each other. and then theres kates friend dawn, who just sh*ts all over everything. i read this book within 24 hours because it held a great suspense for me - how was this going to play out? i thought it kind of wordy at times, but loved it 4 stars worth. will read the rest of the series. I'm actually surprised this doesn't have a higher rating. The writing was stellar, the anticipation of the couple getting together was right up my agnst alley and the plot was fresher than most. I dug it. I haven't read a BDSM novel in awhile so it was refreshing. There wasn't much of it, and what there was seemed to be explanatory as the heroine was a novice. What I liked best was the sweet love story that filtered through all the bullshit. There were a couple irritating things like the fact that there was A LOT of sex scenes and they didn't all need to be there. The other thing is the chick that's trying to keep the couple apart I would have just said "C-U-Next-Tuesday" and moved on about my business. The fact that she held so much power to destroy what the two had was a bit lame. Already bought the second in the trilogy and am looking forward to it.
Do You like book The Agreement (2013)?
More like 3.5....some parts were great, others not so much. All in all, good book, tho.

It's alright. It didn't bore me but all these Fifty Shades wannabes are getting old.
