Tentacles by Roland Smith is a great fantasy book. It's plot is where a group of kids going on an adventure to catch a giant squid. One of the kid's uncles, Travis Wolfe, is leading the expedition, and he has very advanced technology to help him catch the squid. Wolfe's rival, Noah Blackwood, is a naturalist trying to protect animal, but only to the public. He is trying to sabotage Wolfe's mission and sink their ship, while also trying to catch his own squid and put it on display at one of his animal sanctuaries. This book has lots of action and suspense, like when the crew is trying to figure out who is the spy, and when the pirates are raiding the ship. I liked this book because I like books with a lot of action and fantasy books are my favorite genre. I would recommend this book to people who like action and who are 12 years or older because there are lots of parts with action, and people should be 12 or older so they can understand the plot better. I rate this book 5 stars and it is a great read for anyone who likes action. Tentacles is a book about people who hunt monsters and creatures who aren't supposed to exist. This is the second book and the series. The main characters, Marty and Grace, go out to sea with Grace's father to capture a giant squid, while secretly incubating dinosaur eggs in the hold. However, things go wrong when they are attacked by Grace's father's worst enemy, Noah Blackwood. I think this is a very well written book. I think that the author does a very good job describing the setting, and he made the reader feel like he was actually in the book. I also think the author does a good job explaining what is happening, and doesn't make the story very confusing. Overall i believe this is a very good book, and i think anyone who has an interest in squids, cryptozology, or just cool science fiction in general should read this
