The book Tallstar’s Revenge by Erin Hunter is a great book. It is about how a cat learns about his clan and it’s two types of cats: the tunnelers and the moor runners. He learns that because both his parents are tunnelers he is expected to train as one too, but he really wants to see the moor and to feel the wind in his fur, but to do that he will need to be a moor runner. When Heatherstar gives him a moor runner as a mentor, he is relieved. But then his father dies, and he goes off to find the cat who he thinks killed his father and finds himself in territory that is nothing like home. I’d recommend it to anybody who likes animals and adventure. A book focusing on Windclan and the pre-Rusty/Firestar era breathes new life into the Warriors saga and gives us a tantalizing glimpse of a distinctive Clan in the midst of a major cultural shift. The writing and character development in the Super Edition books are generally superior to any of the 6-book story arcs, and this one feels especially strong. I'm getting a little tired of mama cats who are withdrawn, cold, or indifferent to their kits, and I wish the ending had been more gracefully paced - the final chapter comes as an epilogue, rather than a conclusion, to Tallstar's maturing and rise to leadership. But those are minor quibbles in the face of this book's many plot and psychological strengths - especially its central point addressing the senselessness of habitually laying blame for unfortunate events.

It was great, I just didn't like how it didn't show any of Talltail's time as deputy
