About book Tagebuch Der Apokalypse 3 : Roman (2012)
I loved the first 2 books in this series. I love a well written zombie book.This book is too military heavy. It was all so testosterone-ish that I started to read it out loud in the voice of the guy who does the overly dramatic movie previews. There were a lot of phrases and acronyms that were military specific, and if you didn't know them, I guess you were supposed to look them up. It became less about zombies, and more about macho bro dude stuff. It's still a well written book. This novel was the Mass Effect 3 of all books. I was pumped when I finished the first two novels, couldn't wait for this one. The story is solid through and through but the payoff is horrendous. this series took me on whirl wind romance, we traveled the world and bonded like none other. It let me meet interesting characters, (and terrorist) and taught me how to forgive and forget, then on the night of our honeymoon.....Wham Bam thank you ma'am! Im out. I had to go through the last chapter again because it ended so fast! The book is preety solid and a nice ode to service members but the ending was just....there.
