About book Strangle Hold (2000)

How could Rotenberg get so lucky as to bring out this book while Rob Ford is Mayor of Toronto? Talk about yer basic horseshoes! ;-)I always enjoy Rotenberg's stories, and this one was no exception, although I felt he pulled Ari Green's behaviour to the breaking point in places. As usual, the machinations of the legal folk, both good guys and bad guys were particularly strong and carried us smoothly along. A nice read, especially with summer on the way (one hopes). This is my fourth book by Robert Rotenberg and they just keep getting better all the time. Since he writes about Toronto, and I am a Torontonian, I find it comforting to read about the places where I actually "walk" and his truly "Canadian Speak" voice.A high powered woman is found murdered in The Maple Leaf Motel, a sleazy place on Kingston Road in the east part of Toronto called Scarborough. An excellent read that keeps you turning pages.

I really enjoy being able to relate to the surroundings and the law and this book did it for me!

I love the characters, esp Ari and Daniel. This may be his best yet in this series.
