Great first book in a series, will definitely follow it through. Best way to describe it, is as the Canadian [slightly more street wise] answer to Columbo. All through the audiobook, the author slides from different viewpoints, gives a great picture of Canadian everyday life, is mainly positive about it and it's large immigrant community, but does so whilst at the same time detailing gruesome acts and in a way that seems effortless. If you like a good detective novel, like them grounded in a more real sounding world, are interested in Canadian society in the slightest or even just want a good read, then I think this book or audiobook is for you. Maybe a 3.5--this is a better-than-average page-turner about a radio host accused of murdering his wife. The twist is that he already confessed, but not everyone believes him.I cannot believe I am saying this but this mystery had almost too many plot twists. Still, it was a fun read and I plan to read another by this author. The Toronto setting was fun for me because I just visited that city in May.
