This book started well and then completely fell apart at about the halfway mark. It was filled with flaws and I couldn't make myself finish it. I kept thinking, what happened to this story? Also, I could not get over how much this author talks about food...it seemed like every other page I was reading about what the characters were eating...and it was definitely not vital to the plot. Seemed like filler to me. I really don't need to know what a character eats for dinner every night. This book really 'grew on me' as I read it. At first I felt that the author had chosen such a varied group of identities, maladies and traits for her characters just because they are headline buzzwords these days. I still feel that some of them were too over the top and others did not get fleshed out enough. Overall, the story was a thought provoking, worthwhile read.I think that the editing could have been better. There were several points where I had a bit of trouble recognizing that some time had passed within the story but the author failed to fully clarify it. I would recommend this to fans of Jodi Picoult. It is written in much the same style.

Interesting, well written. Not crazy about the ending.
