Haha...Aurora Alexander is newly divorced with co-custody of her 4-year-old son, Liam. Wanting to get out more, she opened a profile on the online dating site, Fish in the Sea. However, of all the men she's met there, one is not what he seems. Is she safe from him?Brent, Jeremy, Wesley and Jackson. Four different men. Some you want to hate, some you want to love, some you hope won't be the man who's hunting her.Dawn introduces His POV in the story Those gives us clues to his frame of mind but does not give away anything of who he is. I was definitely intrigued.The ending will shock you, you may not believe it, but rest assured that the journey was worth the while.This book is my very first of Dawn's works. I look forward to her Hers series which I've recently just purchased. :) The synopsis for Statistic caught my attention. It seemed like a good premice for a romantic suspense. I was right in one aspect and completely flabbergasted by another.What I liked: Statistic seems like a relavant story with all the internet dating I hear about. I even have a few friends who found their loves on internet match sites. That ticked a box and I took a chance.First, the synopsis mentions four men but one is really a non-starter date wise just some messaging and texting back and forth. I found Aurora to be brave about taking some of the chances she does; not necessarily smart but she put herself out there and didn't obviously pick the jerks. Two of the men appear honest and upfront about their reasons for using the internet to connect and the other is a good stress relief sex partner. There are thoughts Ms Robertson includes from the "bad guy's" thoughts that ramps up the tension. One of Aurora's interests is more than he seems. What I didn't like: I almost put Statistic down several times. The reason: the maturarity level of Aurora and the writing. The writing felt contrived on some issues and immature in others. The big word here is ALMOST. The plot kept me guessing and a character caught my interest. The plot was just enough to keep me going. I could have read the ending and been done with it but I'm a clue searcher so I kept at it.Here's the thing, I'm glad I kept at it but this is one of the weirdest reviews I've ever written. I wasn't sympathetic to the main character, I had a very hard time with the writing style but the plot just would not let me go. I had to know and I wanted to follow the clues and not just read the ending. About the ending. I DID NOT SEE THAT COMING!!Because of the ending, I might pick up the next in the series. Recommended if you want something a bit different and love surprises!!
