Well.. I liked this story because of Molly & Lindsay. I would rate it 3.5***I definitively did not expect her to take matters into her own hands. that was quite refreshing.I can totally understand Kari. if she tried to contact the guy and he dissappeared and did not attempt to contact her in ages.. why should she care about him?..I do believe that fate is treacherous... and life goes in circles.. you never know how or when you will find individuals from your past coming back to your present and molding your future.. perhaps that is the beauty of the uncertaintity of the future.Kari did not convince me much as a strong personality.... I felt she could have been more inspirational as she has gone through so much as a single and working mom, but somehow she is short. On the other hand, Lindsey is awesome. I totally loved her! she is true to her spirit and character.. and if I trully think she is more a role model for Molly than Kari.I loved that her story was also shared in the book... it definitively brought a fresh tint to it.and Max.. I liked him but also felt he was not quite there yet.I think it says a lot of a book when I liked more the secondary characters, like the sisters and Lindsay even Molly, than the main characters?I did not dislike them... but somehow they failed to convince me. Max was better shaped, with the whole dream girl thing... at least that made me like him more. Kari on the other hand says and thinks one thing, but does another... perhaps it did not start well when after 5 minutes of seeing Max she is already telling him that they have slept together years go, while she supposedly hates him and is afraid of him finding out about Molly? this just does not add up.and Max attempts to seduce her where not that many and not that incredible for me... although his jealous attitude did win him points...overall Molly declarations and Lindsay's romance lift the story quite a bit. I really enjoyed this book! It was different and fun to read. And it was a nice change to find out the whole story in one book as opposed to being left hanging! Max is a pro football player who has had a few minor health problems. His coaches and trainers won't let him play in the next season until he's cleared by a doctor and a nutritionist. And his nutritionist happens to be Kari. A woman who he spent one night with, almost 14 years ago. Max doesn't remember Kari. But Kari will never forget Max. She sees his face every day when she looks at her 13-year-old daughter. Kari and Max have a connection, but Kari thinks he wants nothing to do with his daughter. Once secrets are revealed, trusts are broken. So are some hearts. Great job by Theresa Ragan!
Do You like book Spielzug Ins Glück (2014)?
A sweet and quick read.Mad Mac is an NFL pro with a rocky history when it comes to women. Kari Murphy is a nutritionist who is hired to work with Max. The same Max that she spent one night with 14 yrs earlier. It was a good concept and had some great moments that made me want more. But it did feel a bit drawn out and the writing wasn't exactly the best. There was a great deal of repeating names like "Max said this. Then Max said that." It was a little annoying but not enough to drive you crazy. All around a good read. :)

A cute contemporary sports romance, it even had an interesting secondary romance. The author has a nice writing voice for this genre and I would read more, but this one lacked a bit on the story. I'm not a fan of secret baby romances, especially when the secret tends to linger far too long. It wrapped up with a good ending, so I'd recommend it if you like light contemp romances and don't mind the 'secret baby' plot device.
