About book Return Of The Rose (2000)

Alright. Well.I've mentioned most of the issues I've had with the book in the notes I've posted while reading, and I don't want to repeat myself as well as I don't want to spend another minute thinking of this piece of... literature. So. One last cry from this dedicated Whovian who just can't help herself and has to be geeky once again: (spoilers) How about the massive paradox created in the end, huh? Because that's what the witch would have done if she had sent the blanket to the future to save Morgan's adoptive family. The hell. Time Travel 101. Seriously. Other notes from my kindle:- Characters schematical, flat. - The same themes repeated over and over again.- The same phrases and words used repeatedly.- Absolutely outraging reactions of some characters to stuff. Example speaking for all - Morgan meets the witch at the marketplace and finally there seems to be a person with an idea of what is going on. What does Morgan do? Oh yeah, runs away thinking that the woman is crazy. Top notch.Do I have to continue?I don't. I won't. The only reason I've given this two stars, not just one, is that sadly I've actually read books worse than this. But that doesn't change the fact that NEVER AGAIN. Oh look, I've created an extra shelf for this. Never again.P.S.: I wanted to be nice and write something (I won't go as far as saying this is a proper review so don't go all ballistic on me) author-friendly, but well... not happening. Maybe next time. I read this after reading some comments, and found it was not clean romance. I had the impression it would be. They engaged in sex before marriage, and it was much more detailed than I care to read. I also was disappointed with the fact that her dress was so unquestionably wrong for the time period, and yet she was not seen as someone they would have burned at the stake. I do not recommend reading it. I would have enjoyed more if It wasn't explicit and her dress questioned and not so easily accepted.
