For vol. 1-13Was told to read the manga after watching the anime and feeling like it was a let down in the end. Ohkubo definitely has a very active imagination, and has a very quirky, pleasing drawing style. HIs world is rich and full of great, multi-faceted characters. It's well-worth the read.Docked off a star mostly for the gratuitous sexualization of women. The first volume is by far the worst; every other panel is a shot of panties or huge boobs. It's really disappointing, since there are some cool female characters (Maka, Medusa). But in our world, where women are usually objectified in every story, this one is particularly grating. Let's get this show on the road.I have watched the anime before continuing with the manga, which is actually fantastic. There is more character development (because it is much longer than the anime, obviously). I have to admit that I did not expect the plot twists that occurred in the latter part of the manga (especially before the War on the Moon arc), and Ohkubo-sensei did just fine...... up until the last chapter. The series is a great read but, the ending extremely disappointed me. Although ends have been bind, it feels like there is something missing to it. It still feels like there are open ends, but that is to be expected with any form of art. I just wished it had an epilogue, rather than ending it as it is.
Do You like book Soul Eater, Vol. 1 (2014)?
My fave chara is Soul Eater because he's real cool and Blair was quite an annoying character!
