Whew! This book is packed with drama. Just when I thought I had this book figured out I was WRONG!I was sorta worried in the beginning I would not like the age difference in this couple, but I was charmed by the lovey Simon. He was witty, and sexy, and I loved his daughter and even his ex wife. (Seriously, I liked his x wife)Emma was dealt some super crappy cards in life and I think she's doing a pretty good job of staying in the game. The fact that Simon is wiling to work with her through her issues was so sweet. I was so proud of her at the end of the story. Can't wait to read the ending. This was a very sad story at first, the way innocence can be shattered by such evil as abuse. Then it blossomed into a daring love story as Emma, a girl struggling with life and her own self image, finds safety a something akin to love with an unsuspecting man. Professor Simon Anderson, I am sure, never expected to fall for his student let alone a broken girl. Was it her past that drew him or her shattered view of the world that sucked him in? And how were they to deal with a love that was so new yet perceived as wrong in the public eye should it be exposed?I loved the daunting yet sweet tease of this romance as the story progressed. I loved the sense of danger and desperation by Emma as her past intertwined with a present that seemed unbalanced yet so very new as she finally came out of her shell to experience life. This was a very endearing and entertaining read from start to finish. I enjoyed it immensely.
Do You like book So Many Reasons Why (2013)?
Was this actually written by Missy Johnson? If so it must have been her first book.
