About book Slob (2009)

Summary…. Slob is about a boy named Owen. He is bigger than most kids his age [at least that’s what he says]. He has been working on invention. Owen named his invention Nemesis. He got Nemesis to work and now he watches TV on Nemesis. Owen’s mom packs his lunch every day. Every day she packs three Oreos. Owen thinks that a boy named Mason Raggs is stealing his Oreos. He tries to make plans to try to catch. In the end Mason and Owen talk at gym and they start being friends. Main Characters…. Owen is a boy that is really smart. He create an invention named Nemesis. He says that he is fatter than most kids his age. Mason Raggs is kind of a bully. He keeps stealing Owens Oreos every day. In the end Mason and Owen start to talk and become friends. Settings…. There are lots of settings for this book. One setting are of course Owens school. Another setting is Owens home. Owen is usually in his room working on Nemesis when he is at home. Conflict…. Every book has a different conflict. The conflict for Slob is that a boy name Mason Raggs is stealing Owens Oreos every day. Owen does nothing about it at first. He is afraid to stand up to Mason because he is tough. Resolution…. Owen solves his conflict by making a plan. He is not for sure that Mason is stealing his Oreos. Mason leaves the classroom every day before lunch. Owen tries to leave the classroom to see what Mason was doing every day, but he never saw him. Opinion…. You should read this book. It is very interesting and entertaining. Slob is an easy book to read. It is not hard to understand at all. Some of it makes you think about your own life. Recommendation…. I recommend this book because it is so detailed and entertaining. It is also very funny. It makes you wonder how you would act if you in the situation that Owen [the main character] was in. Once you start reading Slob it will be hard to stop. I guarantee you will love this this book. 12 year-old Owen Birnbaum is genius, but just because he's smart doesn't mean he has it good. He isn't exactly the slimmest person and does his best to ignore bullies, but the last straw is whenever someone steals his Oreos from his lunch and keeps doing it. Very dramatic. He has narrowed down his suspects to one person, the problem is that it's the mysterious kid in the corner. Everyone thinks he's a psycho, and don't even get me started on the supposed switchblade in his sock. On the other hand, Owen has other questions on his mind, questions that involve the mystery of his parents.
