I have enjoyed watching Duck Dynasty. Hey, I figured this was my chance to learn more about Uncle Si. The book is a series of stories that Si tells about himself and his brothers, his wife and his children. The stories are honest portrayals showing his fears and phobias along with the good and bad things that happened in his life.The family is loving and they do lots of things together. They enjoy meals together along with hunting and fishing and appreciate the outdoors and all it offers. They celebrate the simple things in life and know that they owe what they have and who they are to their creator, God.The book was enjoyable right down to Si's puns and jokes. That's the fact, Jack! So cool. I loved getting to know Si better and his open attitude about what all he has went through from Vietnam to having fertility issues. He was such an interesting man. I get the feeling that he is the true glue of the Duck commander family although everyone says it's Phil. I loved how he talked about his wife and the letters at the end were so insightful to see how the members of his immediate family view him as a man. Truly a great biography.
