Giacomo "Jack" Casanova is the son of legendary Casanova but he's suffered under his famous father's shadow all his life. Jack believes that love is the most powerful force on Earth. Jack is hosting Ian MacPhie's Bachelor Party only to have the police to be called. Officer Lara Boucher and her partner respond to disturbance in hotel room only nothing goes as planned. Lara is immune to vampire mind control which frustrates Jack to no end. When a series of missing persons occurs Lara investigates much to Jack's dismay. Lara feels like Jack is hiding something from her but she's not sure what. Will Lara accept Jack? Will Lara admit her feelings? Whose behind missing persons? Your answers await you in Secret Life of a Vampire. The dark and mysterious Jack has intrigued me since his introduction. I pitied him having to live up to his famous father's antics. I loved Lara! She was definitely a strong willed woman with stubborn determination. Things are definitely heating up between The Vamps and The Malcontents. I really like the direction this series is going in. I think the story is well balanced with a mixture of dark and lightness. The characters are real, honest, interesting, and smart. I can't wait for my next adventure in this series. This wasn't one of my favorites in the series, but I still enjoyed it. Reading these back to back isn't a good idea. The same problem becomes a common theme..."Oh, no! I'm in love with a vampire!" and "Will she love me if she learns what I am?" is getting old. There's always some new challenge with the Malcontents though and this time, it's a serial killer feasting on red heads.I must say, I'm interested in the werewolf dynamic coming into play. I'll continue with the series as my go to for bubble gum for the brain, but I'll take a few weeks in between stories.

Une fois de plus les personnages de Sparks sonnent faux, paraissent inconsistants.
