1at one by this author that I've read. I was a decent enough story which I enjoyed. The characters were likeable enough. My problem was the back story involving Kate and also all of the extended family of the main characters and their companies. Everything was talked about plenty, albeit only in titbits, but no proper/full explanation given. It left me wondering too much. I presume more explanation is to come in the following books in the series, I just don't know if I'm that interested in finding out (hopefully you do!). An entertaining read. Lucy Kincaid might be full of insecurities but she has an impressive collection of family and friends (with benefits) to make it as an effective crime fighter.I like Brennan's easy reading style. The chapters with the stalker front and center were creepy and good for ramping up the tension. The author kept me guessing possible suspects for quite a while and that's always a good thing. The book loses one star for an obvious plot hole that had me shouting "check the security tapes, check the security tapes" and the melodramatic ending was also a bit much for this old jaded reader. ;)Overall a pleasure to read. Looking forward to more Lucy Kincaid adventures.

Chick lit junk. The writing is moronic. Romantic suspense with multiple serial killers. Really bad.
