Despite the horribly cheesy title, I think this one deserves 3 stars. It's a good contemporary romance, but it could've been great. I would've liked to learn more about Jackson/Alini's relationship before this book started. Maybe they're addressed in the other books, but as I picked this up as a one-off at the library, I didn't have the benefit of any back story. Also, the second half of the book unnaturally introduced characters as a clear set-up to the next installment of the series. Lori Foster is a lot like Susan Mallery for me: I think I'm enjoying their books, so I read a few in the same series, until at some point I hit a wall and realize how shoddy the writing is. I'm not exactly sure how to describe the problem; I think it might be that they are both good at characterization, but bad at pacing and phrasing, so I get sucked into the character dynamics for a while before noticing the bad writing.
love Jackson. Hawt, confident, cocky, badass. this was a well deserved re-read for me.

She always does a nice job of blending suspense and romance, and in this one, humor.

More of the same good, escapist fun. Not my favorite in this series, but not bad.
