I did not enjoys this book much for these reason. The slackness/child abuse was instigated by the oh so many great grandfather Elijah - just because he couldn't marry the woman he wanted. He was never remorseful about starting this curse, even to the day he died. Seemed like Lutishia tried to justify the slackness/prostitution/child abuse, by some lame love story surrounding Elijah and Sadie. Makes you what to read the book to find out what slackness :). Having finished the book, Lutishia came across as advocating this curse/ slackness, child abuse, more than being against it. This is how I felt having read the book to the end. This was the first book I read by Lutishia. I didn't even know it was a series. Unfortunately, Reverend Feelgood has kinda left a bad taste in my spirit, and I'm not eagerly awaiting Heaven Forbid . OK!! Great book. Not so sure if it is in my Christian Fiction place, but it had a good message. It has some wordly conversations which are not uncommon, but it caught me a little off guard. The message of what I needed to hear was clear. So for me I got the intended meaning. For some others if you struggle to hear curse words or read them well this might not be the book for you. If that's not your issue then great story. The Pastor Reverand Nathaniel THICKE has been covering the single ladies in his minstry. This one YOUNG lady has been praying for him to be her husband. She read the same prayer since she was 12 and made a vision board with what her dream was. And once she got the man she changed her prayer so that she would be the ONLY woman he would be with. Ultimately she changed the man and the once single elgible man became a one woman man. PRAYER consistent prayer.
Do You like book Reverend Feelgood (2010)?
Lutishia's story lines always grab me in the first paragraph and the drama continues.
