Mind Your Own Business is the second installment in “The Business Series” by Lutishia Lovely. Her story-telling technique lets you pick up in the middle of the narrative and follow the different characters and their predicaments even if you haven’t read the first installment.There are many questions left unanswered as well as impending and unresolved situations brewing. The first book in this series, 'All Up in My Business' had sold me on this new group of characters and even more so on the author, who I had already become a fan of during her previous series. As soon as I began reading MYOB I knew I wouldn't be disappointed. This book grabbed me from the beginning and again, I couldn't put it down. The storyline branched out to include Bianca and Jefferson Livingston, siblings who were competing to run the new location of their family's successful business amid their own personal love dramas. A couple of disliked (at least by me) characters returned like Quentin Bright and Shyla Martin, and Chardonnay alternated between making me want to slap her and wanting to give her a high five (but more so the former). The lovely Ms. Lovely skillfully takes us to the edge and back; just when we think they're going to get that SOB Quentin who has wreaked so much havoc in the Livingston clan, he slips away again. And now he has a sister and a scorned attorney to help him, so there's no telling where this journey will take us next!I am counting down the months until the next installment, 'Taking Care of Business.' I really can't wait to see what happens next!
