Revenge Of The Girl With A Great Personality is an awesome book about a girl how has a great personality but not a great wardrobe. She decides to make a bet with her friend Benny that if she starts dressing up he has to ask out the guy he likes, Chris. When she started dressing up good things happen like a new boyfriend and friends but, bad things too like all the drama and the time it takes to get ready in the morning. I recommend this book to people who like teen fiction. The book I read this month was The Revenge of The Girl with the Great Personality, by Elizabeth Eulberg. Lexi is like any other normal, nice, smart girl except she is known for her great personality. She isn't considered popular though, she doesn't have a flawless wardrobe like every other popular girl, it's just her and her great personality. Lexi decides she wants to change her image, literally. She wants to turn into a picture perfect person with flawless makeup and amazing hair and clothes. After Lexi makes her transformation she begins to wonder if this is really what she wants. In this book, the author is conveying the themes that you should be yourself and to be comfortable in your own skin.I really enjoyed this book, the author made it very funny and enjoyable while still getting a very important message across, be yourself all the time and be confident and comfortable in your own skin. An example of being who you are is when Lexi gets frustrated with everything not working out and she finally can't take it, "Sorry. I've had it. I'm sick of pretending to be someone I'm not."(199) Lexi is not enjoying her life now that she has to be someone that she is not when someone else is around, it's mentally tearing her apart. She is just putting on a "mask" to please someone, instead of being herself. Another example of being yourself is when Lexi walks through the school the first day of her transformation, " I'm overly self-conscious as we walk through the hallway."(83) Since Lexi made such a change she is worried that people will treat her differently because she looks different, and not in a good way. Even though she changed she still isn't confident in herself and she isn't as comfortable as when she was being herself. Lastly Lexi notices that there is only a little bit of her normal self left, "So there's still a part of Fiercely Loyal Lexi behind this giddy exterior"(152) Lexi is pretty much a fake person, she hides her real self behind "this giddy exterior", instead of being just herself. Overall, I would recommend this book to anyone who wants a funny book, but actually has a point to it. I would give this a 10/10 hands down and am super glad I read it.
