About book Rangers Apprentice The Lost Stories (2013)
Ranger's Apprentice "The Lost Stories" by John FlanaganIt's been a long time coming as I see I read the rest of the series in 2012 ... yet my son found it at the library & poof! I was taken RIGHT back into the great memories of these fascinating stories! While I wish I could piece these stories (almost each chapter is a different story) and then place them into the original books & re-read them ... ummm NOW THAT would be GREAT!!While I didn't like the mini series of this book ((each chapter a different story)) -- I loved re-connecting with all the characters.Finding out how Halt joined the Rangers, where their horses went upon retirement ... Joining Wil, Alyss, Lady Pauline, Cassandra (aka Evelyn) Horace, Crowley, Gilan, Baron Arald even Morgarath ... the challenges they faced came alive again - questions answered yes! but stories could go on ... LOVE LOVE LOVE these guys & gals and you will too!!Great job John Flanagan!! :) Amazing! I love every one of these short stories, with the exception of "The Wolf", that was just a little depressing (poor Tug). There were some really great ones that stood out in my opinion, one of those being "Dinner for Five", it was the the first time that I've ever read something from Jenny's POV, actually, it's probably the first time John Flanagan has ever written anything from her POV. I'm really glad I bought this book. I know it's just some short stories, but it gives you a better knowledge of things from the past, and from the present.
