About book Private: #1 Suspect (2012)

Overall, I did enjoy the storyline. The cases were interesting to me and they kept me reading. That is the part I was not disappointed in. The book had a good pace, and it kept me interested the whole way through. I was disappointed in the lack of character development. We don’t really learn anything knew about anyone in this book. I almost felt like I was reading the same book just with different cases. They have remained pretty flat so far. I felt like this would be the book to make them into deeper characters, but it just did not happen. The only sort of change in character is that Jack became really unimportant to me. I feel like Justine, Del Rio, and Cruz are really taking over, and they are the more interesting characters to read about. Jack being the main character in this series reminds a little bit of How I Met Your Mother. Watching that show, I felt every other character was exponentially better than Ted. I feel the same way about Jack. I hope that changes in the next one or these books may start to get a bit boring. Justine is still my favorite character. I would love if she and Lindsay Boxer teamed up. 3/5 stars 10/10/14 I stopped at chapter 14 page 53 and let's just say I got pretty into it. Haha well so far the main character 'Jack' Went home from a business trip to find his "ex-lover" was found dead in his place. He freaks out and had called the police only to be blamed for murder.10/16/14 Today I read up to chapter 33 page 106 My book is so interesting! Jack is still being accused of the murder of Colleen. He is trying to blame his twin brother, because he had been spotted at the scene of the crime! Jack suffers trying to clear his name and find out who set him up. "Bingman never had a chance"I liked this part because it made me want to know what was happening next.10/24/14 Today I had read up to chapter 68 page 216,A lot is going on it's a little confusing.Yet it gives perfect details and it's making me want to read more and more! Jack is still hasn't cleared his name. I love what's happening, but I really just want to punch the police officer 'Tandy' in the face! He keeps making Jack deeper in the hole, and in my opinion he's deep enough. Colleen's death had been a Special circumstances. Not getting into those details because it makes me mad. Jack was sent to prison for the night and then he had to go to court. Colleen's death is something I'm hoping they figure out the details soon because I'm very curious! "Jack Morgan? You need to get dressed for court."This part set up a lot of tention. It made me wanna read more to find out what was going to happen to Jack. I kinda feel bad for Jack he's being put through a lot. I finished this book about a week ago and it had a huge ending I loved it and it was perfectly detailed and I do think others should read this book as well.

Do You like book Private: #1 Suspect (2012)?

Recently as with many people during High School, I hardly read if it was not a textbook or non-fictional article. Whilst I put this down to time constraints (If I found a good book I would literally have to finish it straight away!) I also found that there aren't really books aimed at pre-adults (the name we are given) that aren't not about life threatening diseases or books that have been overly hyped after being made into movies - I unfortunately am not a big fan of those. I struggled to find books to read and often found after starting a couple of chapters to be uninspired and unmotivated to continue reading. So when I found myself in the library looking for books I found myself looking at James Patterson's crime novels. I am a massive crime tv show fan (NCIS, Criminal Minds, Hawaii Five O, Castle); so this seemed like the obvious choice! Especially as sometimes James Patterson makes cameos on Castle! Within a couple of days I have finished reading 'Private: No. 1 Suspect'. I have found it so hard to put down. Whilst there are a few storylines, you become very familiar with the recurring characters and you want to find out more about the conclusion to each fast-paced story line. After my long search I have finally reignited my desire to read and man, it feels awesome! James Patterson - saviour of my book worm!

It was yet another disappointment from James Patterson. The book began with great promise, gripping plot and got me hooked to it, building up lots of high expectations. But when I realized nothing significant or interesting has happened in any of the initially exciting plots till almost 3/4th into the book, I knew this was just going to tank. First of all, why there were 4 completely different and unrelated plots, I did not understand. Then the plots kept dragging on with unnecessary details and boring predictable twists and then, all of a sudden, they were rushed to closures as if suddenly the writers realized that this book needs to come to an end after all and now is the time to do it!! Too many loose ends, too convenient suspects and situations and almost nil character development. There was nothing brilliant about Jack Morgan. Del Rio and Cruz had lot more action going on than the protagonist. Other than the fact that Jack was a marine, owns a Lamborghini and a multi - million dollar private investigation business and has an evil twin (duh!), I did not get to know this guy. Anyway, all my hopes came crashing by and I just skimmed through the last 50 pages to get it done with.Overall, not a keeper.
