Do You like book Pick Your Poison (2004)?
There is a saying"when don't know where to start ,always start from the beginning "Since I have a conflicted feelings about this book,I start from the beginning Abby Rose is a millionaire who have nothing but time on her hands ,when her gardener Murdered in her house, she assaulted by guilt ,thinking don't know the basic details about him,so try to hunt down his family, while detective in charge of the case ,trying unsuccessfully to deter her in order to protect her from becoming next victim.About that conflicted feelings ,every story concreted on its characters ,this book has more or less equal people on love or hate side ,for the love side Abby Her sisterSoon to be brother in lawDetectiveOn the hate side Her husbandAunt Lawyer I sincerely considered about putting this book in DNF column, this book has one of the element I hate very much ,heroine falling as prey for lust, even though he is despicable and also ex husband. I actually liked the identity of the murderer, who I hated from the very first.Mr.Rose ,Abby's father did everything out of love even though he kept secrets from them, its unfair to accuse him of murder ,and thinking her whole life has been sham,he adopted them and loved them as his own daughters, stood by her side in messy divorce ,he did it all and much else its really very indignant to think of him as murderer.

From the first sentence about how the sun could melt diamonds, I enjoyed her colorful expressions and vivid similes. The relationship between the two sisters, so different though they were twins, provided warmth and grounding to Abby's restless, impulsive nature. Didn't matter what crazy chances Abby took, Kate and Terry had her back. Fortunately, her love interest was a policeman who could make nasty consequences of her investigation go away. The fast-paced action kept me reading all night-sometimes insomnia is a good thing. I just wish cozy authors didn't feel the need to use "God" and "Jesus" as exclamations. That bothers me although I can handle the other profanity.
