This is the perfect ender for a great trilogy, the Royal Brotherhood series, where the author Sabrina Jeffries tells Gavin's story, and a delightful one at that. He's the eldest of the three, and the only one who made it through his own hard work, and whose mother was harshly wronged by Prinny. This is one of those books that overwhelmed me I want to write a good review of it, and I hope what I'll write here does it justice.I'll start with the story. I loved Ms Jeffries's writing style, it was smooth and flowing, never boring, and this is the third book I've read and I was never disappointed. The series got better and better, and I admire that about her works because with some authors who do series, sometimes one of out three books is disappointing. I hold all the three books in high regard for their variety, unpredictability, with the excellent and gradual character developments.Ms. Jeffries creates characters that endear the reader, both Christabel and Gavin were meant for each other from the start, and I was amused by how they met. Christabel's strength really drew me to her character, she can hold on her own and her marksmanship skills were notable, and how she defends herself against men, but it was Gavin's change that was astounding. It wasn't surprising since I expected him to be a reformed rake, but with the significant conversations and arguments they had, it wasn't an easy feat for Christabel, but Gavin still changed and turned from his wicked ways. The author wrote that with the right woman, and her love, a man could tire of his routine and settle for the one he's always looking for when he finds her.On another note, Gavin reminded me of Sebastian St Vincent (Devil In Winter by Lisa Kleypas) for two simple reasons. Both of them own a club, and both of them are reformed rakes. The comparison stops there, because they're two totally different characters. I liked how the author put humor, it's one of the factors that would make me want to read a story again, and this is it.This was entertaining from start to finish, and I'm always awe-struck how great authors like Ms Jeffries insert the passionate love scenes at opportune moments. Her love scenes were moderate bordering on the erotic, and these helped the characters in delving deeper into their relationship.I particularly loved one quote where Gavin said Christabel makes him want to be good, and that's a very clear sign of true love, and how that love makes one want to be a better person. I was really touched by Gavin's reflections, how he realized he needs and loves Christabel, and she would be the only woman for her. Christabel on the other hand responded that Gavin makes her want to be bad, and again, I loved that. Their relationship really worked because it brought changes to them. While Gavin wants to improve his character only for Christabel, he unleashed her hidden passions, and made her realize she's more than the woman she is in Gavin's eyes.Another thing I liked about the story is the intrigue. The author kept me in suspense on what the letters are all about, and what they're worth. The royal gossip has notes in the end, and it's really helpful because the author has a basis for her story, which she weaved into good fiction. The actions done by the characters spoke volumes, and it was a good closure for Gavin to have gained the baronetcy, and a loving wife. The best thing is how he appreciated all of it, when he thanked Christabel out of the blue for loving him, believing in him, and seeing more of the bastard, rakehell, and gambler, and for giving him two wonderful children. Not much theatrics, but I was touched all the same.This is a story of redemption and love, and not all changes are for the worse. 5 stars for this treat! I love Sabrina Jeffries!

When Alexander and Marcus, Gavin's half-brothers, urge him to go into alliance with Christabel, he's wary. Once he decides to do so, his main goal-aside from ruining his father-is to get the proper Lady Christabel into his bed. This heroine is no fainting spinster, however, and the tables are soon turned. When all is said and done, which will Gavin Byrne find more important-the destruction of the man he's hated all of his life, or the safety of the woman he's come to love? ONE NIGHT WITH A PRINCE is historical romance at its best. Engaging characters, attention to historical detail, and humorous dialogue will keep you reading long into the night. I'm sorry to see this trilogy end, but I'm sure Ms. Jeffries has something else planned for our reading pleasure in the near future.

5+ stars – Historical/Regency RomanceWow! What an utterly delightful gem this turned out to be! I absolutely loved, loved, loved it! One Night With a Prince is such a fun, sexy, witty, steamy, entertaining, emotional, and engaging romance, and the H/h make a saucy, amusing, and unforgettable couple with magnetic chemistry in spades. “Prince of Sin” Gavin Byrne reminded me a little of Derek Craven from Dreaming of You by Lisa Kleypas (one of my all-time favorite romantic heroes) because of his brutal, impoverished upbringing, rise to success as a wealthy, powerful gaming club owner, and tarnished, cynical soul, but Gavin’s a bit more affable, devilish, and teasing, especially when it comes to seduction. And feisty, brave, spirited, temperamental, loyal, and kindhearted Christabel, who dares make him feel and yearn for things he doesn’t believe in, is his perfect, explosive match.I’m usually a stickler for reading books in order, but I’m glad I made an exception for this because it would have been a real shame to delay enjoying such a wonderful romance. Now I’m looking forward to reading the first two books in the series and more by this author. Big 5, scandalously sinful stars! Thanks for the recommendation, Danielle!

One Night With A Prince, the final book in the Royal Brotherhood trilogy, was wickedly delicious, brimming with scandal, and starred a hero that was devilishly handsome and sinfully charming... 5 stars!!!!The first time Gavin Byrne met Christabel she shot at him and put a hole in his hat and in his cabriolet. She was unlike any other woman Gavin had met. She was tough and didn't let people run over her and she stood her ground. But once she and Gavin made a deal to be partners in retrieving some secret letters, Gavin decided he wanted her in his bed and he wouldn't take no for an answer.Christabel resisted Gavin's advances the best that she could. But he was so incredibly tempting and he was relentless in his decision to have her. But she was so afraid that being in his bed would not be enough, she knew she would want more, need more, but she also knew that Gavin was notorious for having mistress after mistress and could never be faithful to just her.Gavin and Christabel were so funny together. They drove each other insane! She thought him to be the very devil and he thought she had been hiding behind her widow's weeds for far too long. Their banter was entertaining and their attraction to each other was powerful. Their need and longing for each other practically leapt from the pages and I couldn't read it fast enough!Excellent end to the series that I have thoroughly enjoyed.. it is not to be missed!!

This the third book in Sabrina Jeffries's "Royal Brotherhood Series", One Night With A Prince is the first and only one I’ve read so far in that series. A regency, this is Gavin Byrne’s story- one of the bastard son’s of The Prince of Wales.Never acknowledged by his royal father, Byrne pulled himself up from the slums of England to be a wealthy and powerful owner of a gambling club.... Okay, we’ve seen that before, (LISA KLEYPAS) but I must admit I found I liked this tale.The heroine is Lady Christabel Haversham who for all intents and purposes is a rather extraordinary woman for the time period this book is set in. Widowed, she’s no shrinking violet and, as in the other regency I’ve read by Jeffries, she comes off a little too modern.However, Jeffries has a way of making her characters so likeable, the inconsistencies are easily brushed aside, as far as I’m concerned.Here’s the gist of the story:Christabel needs the help of the renowned womanizer Gavin Byrne to gain entrance into a whist tournament held by the man she suspects has incendiary documents that would upset the ascension line of the English Crown- documents once owned by herself that were sold off by her now dead wastrel of a husband.Gavin is more than happy to assist- if only to gain the documents for his own means of bringing down his father, Ol’ Prinny- The Prince of Wales.Of course things don’t go exactly as either planned but the way it all resolves- along with the HEA they both gain in the process- kept the pages turning throughout the novel.I found ONWAP to be a fun, fast read, but it’s not one of those that I would turn to as a re-read, I think. (There’s always something about Jefferies work that feels lacking in depth, at times and this one was no exception.)
