About book Notes Left Behind; 135 Days With Elena (2008)
I read this on a plane when I was going to pick up my kids from their dad's house after Thanksgiving- This one is a tearjerker! I loved my kids in a completely different way after reading this. Being a chemotherapy nurse, I deal with death and people fighting for their lives- as a mother- I cannot even begin to imagine losing a child. People, life is short!!! Make everyday count, and forgive yourself if a day goes by and you aren't everything you set out to be. Try again tomorrow. You have to wake up every day and say "Today is going to be the best day of my life!"....and tomorrow will also be. It becomes a way of life. Practice it....soon enough it will be all that you know, and you will be able to share that light with those you encounter. Mungkin karena yang menulis dua orang (dan juga buku terjemahan), agak sedikit membingungkan siapa yang sedang bercerita. Tapi terlepas dari itu, buku ini bagus, menyedot rasa simpati atas nasip seorang anak kecil berusia enam tahun, Elena, yang berusaha melawan kanker.Elena berusaha menjadi seperti anak normal. Tetap menjadi kakak bagi Gracie, seorang siswa yang aktif, seorang anak yang menggemaskan. Memang terkadang sakit mengalahkannya dan ia takut menghadapi terapi-terapi yang harus ia ikuti. Tapi bagi gadis sekecil itu, semangat hidupnya mengagumkan.Semoga banyak orang bisa terinspirasi oleh cerita tentang gadis kecil ini.

Good read. Hard to put down. Couldn't imagine going through that. A must read for everyone!
