Der erste SatzKeiner hatte mir was vom Giftsumach gesagt.Meine MeinungDie Geschichte Ich war ja so begeistert vom Auftakt der Serie und deswegen musste ich einfach weiterlesen. Zum Glück hatte ich auch gleich den zweiten Teil zur Hand, denn ich glaube, dass ich sonst echt durchgedreht wär. Ich hätte nicht gedacht, dass das Buch den ersten Teil noch übertreffen kann, aber da habe ich mich geirrt.Denn dieses Buch war für mich persönlich noch um einiges spannender und hat mich deswegen auch von der erste Seite an gefesselt. Ich wollte das Buch gar nicht mehr aus der Hand legen, weil mir die Handlung einfach so gut gefallen hat, auch wenn ich die Auflösung des "Falls" irgendwie ein bisschen unrealistisch fand. Aber das hat dem Buch trotzdem in keinster Weise geschadet, denn es hat mich wirklich die ganze Zeit über begeistert. Vorallem haben mir die Stellen gut gefallen, in denen man so das Familienleben der Patchwork Familie miterleben durfte, da die das Buch wirklich noch um einiges sympathischer machen. Die Familie ist einfach der Hammer :) Für mich einfach eine perfekte Literaturfamilie auch wenn sie absolut nicht perfekt ist und vielleicht auch gerade deswegen.Ich kam manchmal wirklich nicht mehr aus dem Staunen heraus, wie süß und romantisch Meg Cabot diese Geschichte gestaltet hat und dann gleichzeitig einem manchmal den Atem hat stocken lassen. Da habe ich echt größten Respekt vor der Autorin. Das Buch hat mich irgendwie noch mehr berührt als der erste Teil, denn hier liefen mir teilweise echt ein paar Tränen die Wange hinunter. Ich finde, dass hier im zweiten Teil die Geschichte noch viel facettenreicher ist als im ersten Teil und ich dachte eigentlich schon, dass das eigentlich gar nicht möglich ist, aber Meg Cabot hat es geschafft. Besonders gut hat mir auch noch gefallen, dass man in diesem Buch auch nur mehr über die Nebencharaktere wie Hatschi, Schweinchen Schlau und Schlafmütz erfährt, da die drei mir auch irgendwie ans Herz gewachsen sind.Alles in einem einfach die perfekte Geschichte.Die Charaktere SusannahIch mag sie wirklich so gerne, weil sie einfach eine so starke Persönlichkeit ist. Ich habe das Gefühl, dass dieses Mädchen einfach vor nichts Angst hat. Sie ist echt total tough und trotzdem total liebenswert. Für mich ist und bleibt sie einfach die perfekte Protagonistin, da sie einfach anders ist. Sie macht das mit den Geistern so gut. Ich habe echt großen Respekt vor ihr. Sie ist wirklich mein absoluter Lieblingscharakter und das aus alles Büchern, die ich jemals gelesen habe. Ich bewundere wirklich ihre Schlagfertigkeit und, dass sie zwar selbstbewusst, aber trotzdem überhaupt nicht eingebildet ist. Sie ist einfach nur toll :) Ich glaube sie wär der Buchcharakter, den ich am liebsten treffen würde. JesseEr ist mir sogar noch mehr ans Herz gewachsen. Ich war ja schon beim ersten Teil in ihn verliebt, aber jetzt ist er einfach mein Held, denn er ist wirklich so hilfsbereit, lieb, sympathisch, gut aussehend und liebenswürdig. Und das alles obwohl er ein Geist ist. So einen Geist würde ich auch in meinem Zimmer wohnen lassen :D Er ist einfach der perfekte männliche Charakter. Ich habe ihn richtig in mein Herz geschlossen. Ich glaube ich würde weinen, wenn er auf einmal weg wär. Er gehört genauso zu den Büchern wie Susannah selbst. David (Schweinchen Schlau)Auch er ist mir total ans Herz gewachsen. Ich mag ihn wirklich sehr gerne, auch wenn er total der Besserwisser ist. Er ist einfach total einfühlsam und wirklich total liebenswert. Außerdem ist er total sympathisch. Der Schreibstil Der Schreibstil passt einfach perfekt zu den Büchern. Er ist total angenehm und schön jugendlich. Er passt einfach perfekt zu Susannah. Denn Susannah ist einfach rebellisch und tritt anderen gerne mal in den "Arsch" und so ist auch der Schreibstil. Er ist aber auf keine Art und Weise obszön.Der Titel Hier bin ich irgendwie hin und her gerissen was den Titel angeht, denn wenn man das Ende des Buches anguckt, finde ich, dass der Titel "Auch Geister haben hübsche Söhne" irgendwie nicht ganz so gut passt, aber dafür finde ich den Titel echt sehr, sehr schön.Das CoverAuch dieses Cover finde ich wirklich echt schön, auch wenn es ja eigentlich viel zu girlylike für Susannah ist, aber trotzdem finde ich es 100000 mal besser als das englische Cover. Mal ganz ehrlich die englischen Cover sind doch wirklich häßlich, oder ?Mein FazitIch finde sogar dieses Buch besser, als den ersten Teil, weil es einfach noch um einiges spannender und auch noch ein bisschen romantischer ist. Einfach perfekt :)
REVIEWA triple decker review. This is what you end up with when a series is so good that you read the books one right after the other. In Ninth Key, Suze spends a good part of her time trying to figure out if Tad Beaumont (aka Red) is responsible for a murder. While the interactions between Suze and Tad were nice, I was much more drawn to the scenes with Suze and Jesse. Remember Jesse, he’s the ghost who lives in Suze’s room. Less Red and more Jesse! There are some completely unexpected twists to the plot and I LOVED the way Meg Cabot worked them in. She is a genius at writing a mystery. GENIUS.Reunion is my favorite Mediator book of the series so far. In this book, Suze is caught between the ghosts of four teens who died in a car accident (the RLS Angels) and Michael, the boy from her school who the ghosts are blaming for their deaths. It’s an all-out war as the ghosts are trying to get revenge on Michael. There is no shortage of action and I liked that the car accident plot was so realistic. Even with ghosts being involved, the plot felt very REAL.In Darkest Hour, Suze comes face-to-face with Maria, the ghost who was engaged to her beloved Jesse. Since I am so into the relationship between Suze and Jesse, I was really excited to read about Jesse’s former fiancé. The most romantic of the series so far, Darkest Hour will tug at your heart. Be prepared for a little side-plot action with the little boy Suze is babysitting – his name is Jack and he’s an eight-year-old mediator. I really enjoy how Meg Cabot put awesome little gems like this into her stories. It’s easy to see that I love the Mediator series. I can’t wait to read Haunted (book 5) and Twilight (book 6). Do You like book Ninth Key (2015)?
High Stakes was the necks book in the Mediator and it was bloody satisfying! Suze is awakened by a screaming female ghost, who wants Suze to deliver a message to "Red", that he didn't kill her. Thaddeus "Red" Beaumont is the closest Suze comes to finding a guy named Red. He so happens to be the father of Tad, who Kelly Prescott prodded Suze to dance with at her party. Naturally, Tad becomes Suze's love interest... for this book at least. Under the guise of a school journalist, Suze manages to get into the Beaumont residence to deliver the message. Things go bad and that's not the only thing that sucks!The "Red" mystery kept me second guessing. I had a feeling Suze was after the wrong guy. Also I wasn't convinced of the vampire idea because it just didn't fit in with the whole ghost-mediator world. Thankfully it wasn't what I had expected at all! Suze is able to joke around in light of any situation and it tones down the seriousness of the book, because seriously a Mediator job is not glamourous and would most likely drive someone mad! There wasn't any advancement to Jesse's story which I would've liked but I guess that's what that next books are for!

Cabot has a way of writing that enthralls it's readers. This is definitely a good read for teens. If you are not one, like me, you might still find it keeping you on your toes. :)The thing with non-early teens and those who have really read a lot of other good books, they might not have the patience to indulge in this series. Cabot has a way of stretching points and ideas that some of us may find too much. One may find a way of learning to adapt to this kind of writing, it is skipping all the other parts except the dialogues. if you don't get how the story went there, just back up a little. It is still perfectly understandable that way. :)This series is better than Princess Diaries series in a way that it doesn't drag the story as much and the heroine in here isn't as thick and exxagerated as Mia in P.D Series. She at times do kick ass. ;)

Suze morphed into Meg Cabot's typical female characters with her annoying rambling and boy-craziness. The story dragged out because of the unnecessary recaps and the same thoughts repeated in different wording.Suze has a habit of hanging out with boys who happen to be related to her ghost-busting job and calling them her boyfriends (in the loosest definition possible) when the only thing that attracts her to them are their good looks. I hope this does not continue to be a recurring thing because I don't like shallowness.Nonetheless, High Stakes continued to be funny and entertaining and I enjoyed the (view spoiler)[twist about the murderer being Marcus and not Red Beaumont and Doc being the 'Red' the ghost lady was really after.
