I figured this would be a good easy read and it was free, but I was SO bored. The beginning was slow and the conversations didn't feel like they could ever be real. They seemed too formal and forced. After Emma met Kai it got a little better, but it was still slow going. I always have to finish a book so I read it all the way through, but I have to say the scene from Kai's point of view was the best part. This is not something I would recommend to others. I took my time reading this book, I personally found it interesting. I am always trying to research my family history and anything about it considering I am Hawaiian but have never been. It turns out, the night marchers really are a belief in Hawaii. creepy if you ask me....but there are a lot of stories, legends and myths from Hawaii that seem pretty creepy to me. I think I'll stay where I am instead of living my lifelong dreams of meeting family members.....great book, though!
