------ I received this book from Edelweiss and the publisher for my honest review------As the book that seems to tie everything up in the Inferno Club series I think that this was a pretty good book. In most cases I think that the last books are just there to put the endings on any loose ends a series might have. And while this book does a good job of that, there is also a good story here. Sebastian and Carissa are actually a pretty good match for one another. Carissa, due to her past is not one to leave any stone un turned in her quest to get to the bottom of any question she has. This trait, while not necessarily a bad on can also lead to a lot of problems and create many sticky situations. Especially when your friends are married to spies and don't tell you everything to keep you and them safe. Sebastian is trying his best to keep his friends safe from persecution from their own government, assassins and from nosey little chit. Needless to say Sebastian is a busy guy, who also has fallen pretty hard for Carissa even though he wont fully admit it to himself. Due to Carissas' own actions she finds herself married to Sebastian and the fun really starts. I really like the way the Sebastian treats Carissa, he might get so furious at what she does but he knows that she really is trying to help and that she is a good person. I also like the fact the Carissa actually does listen to Sebastian as he tries to show her that her snooping and going out on her own to nose around is really not a good idea. They both do a pretty good job of meeting in the middle and working things out, and it makes for a very good story. The mystery as to who is trying to hurt the Inferno Club members is one that is not easily solved and I liked the fact that while I was not surprised at who was behind everything I didn't know the answer way before even the question was asked like in some other stories. If you've read any of the other Inferno Club books than you will really like this one and appreciate how the loose ends are tied up. But if this is your first Inferno Club book I think that you will also enjoy this book because while you get more conclusions to things that happened in previous books that is just an added extra bonus to the story that is in this book im giving this one a 2.5 because of the way the leads act. in the beginning 2/3 of the story Beau isn't a jackass, but in the last 1/3 he just keeps telling Carissa to "obey" and "behave herself." I kept expecting him to say 'siiiiiit. sit. staaaaay. stay. good girl.' I don't read these for historical accuracy, and it annoys me when the lead male (whom we're supposed to sigh over) treats the heroine like a dog. though she was no better. somewhere in the last 1/3 Carissa lost her spine and spent the last part of the book apologizing and trying to get her husband to listen to her by whining. she got annoying and he turned into an ass. not sure what happened, because they were quite interesting in the beginning.
Do You like book My Scandalous Viscount (2012)?
