This was such a good and STEAMY book!! ***Spoilers***I couldn't stand Jackie!!! She was a poor example of a friend....ughhh. I know some people have opinions about people dating/or being married when there's age difference but my goodness I really felt the undying love between Jack & Kate, and I cried so hard towards the end of the book. My husband asked me why was I crying. I lied and said it was my allergies....LMAO!!!My only disappointment is that there wasn't an epilogue. Or maybe there will be another book:) I damn sure wouldn't mind. I look forward to reading more books from this author. Oh dear -- someone who loves the author told her she can write and should publish. I disagree -- she may have a story(-ies) to tell but she also needs some MAJOR editing and rewriting. My biggest issue was the ridiculous overuse of exclamation points! after every utterance! especially by the male lead, a 49 year-old successful businessman! I am pretty sure most men (let alone adults of any gender) don't exclaim after every sentence! So Jack is the male lead in question; he is a widower and depressed. He leads a four billion dollar fashion enterprise. Kate is a 22 year-old fashion design / merchandising student who is in financial straits. Thanks to her roommate's urging, she posts a profile on a "seeking a sugar daddy" website, which Jack happens to visit. He is instantaneously taken with her photos and then, when they meet a few days later, he is taken with her personally. So taken with her, in fact, that he decides to invest a lot of money and even more time into making her business proposal a reality.Um, okay. I can suspend a certain amount of disbelief but this strained credulity too far.The sex was, for the most part, fine, and that may be the author's forte. An ultimately disappointing and uninteresting read.I mightn't have been moved to leave a review if the author herself hadn't excoriated other honest and fair one-star review writers. That is in such poor taste and equally poor form.
