About book My Name Is Nujood (2000)

This book was recommended to me by my teacher. So far in the story i think that this book is very unfair mostly because I can relate. The Arabic culture was always unfair in my eyes the women basically have no rights. we (women) have always been considered less then a human, we have men control us all our lives we cant make any choices. If we don't belong to our father we belong to our husband that most likely we (women) don't even get to choose. A truly inspirational, brave girl. A role model to say the least. She's opened so many doors for underaged Yemeni girls that are illegally married off. Loved the strength she discovered to make the decision to let her voice be heard. A powerful read, you will guaranteed be in Nujood's corner supporting her throughout the entire book. This novel made me angry, but quickly sparked hope and a sense of satisfaction back in me. May Allah continue to strengthen her.

Ok, so a 3, at best, on the writing, but a definite 5 stars to the courage of this little girl.

such an extremely sad story. I can not believe the horrible treatment of girls in Yemen.
