Aku selalu ingin menemukan jalan rahasia.
Do You like book My Haunted House (2006)?
#1 Araminta Spooky series - Children's bookFun and entertaining book about Araminta Spooky, who lives in a haunted house with her Uncle Drac (who loves his bats) and Aunt Tabby. There's an empty suit of armor that turns out to be where Sir Horace, a ghost, lives. He's very friendly, but his suit of armor is constantly falling to pieces.I liked this a lot! When Aunt Tabby gets fed up with boiler problems and puts the house up for sale, Araminta plans a series of Awful Ambushes and schemes to scare off potential buyers. She enlists Sir Horace, the ghost in a suit of armor, and the hundreds of spiders who live in the house, in her series of escapades.Imaginative and entertaining illustrations throughout the book :)"Fun escapism for readers who like their spooky without the scary." - School Library Journal

Are you afraid of ghost? Well, if yes, Araminta seems to the opposite. She has been looking for her own ghost for years. She live in Spookie House, with Aunt Tabby and Uncle Drac. One day, Aunt Tabby want them to move to another place. She was frustated about the boiler which likely caused troubles. She thought the Spookie House is a little bigger for three of them, she want them to move to the smaller place that she could handle.Knowing that they have to move, Araminta arrange the plan to defend the Spookie House. She doesn't want to move, she like this house and believes that there are ghosts in this place that she hasn't discover. And the adventure begin.I enjoy reading this book. I haven't read the Septimus Heap series before, so I don't know what kind of writing style Angie Sage would bring in. But I like this. Light reading, imaginative, funny, and entertaining. Araminta is such a brave girl with thousands creative idea to keep Spookie House. The name of each character is funny too, like Mr. & Mrs. Wizzard, Uncle Drac (who fond of bats and keep them in his room), even Araminta Spookie itself is a funny name. This book contains many illustration, like this one:[image error]

As much as the kidlets and I love the Septimus Heap series, I was surprised to find out that Angie Sage had another series I'd never heard of.It's quite a bit shorter and less complex than Magyk; it's an early chapter book geared toward younger children. The Addams family type characters fascinated my kids, and they thought it was pretty funny. This book (and The Sword in the Grotto) kept them mesmerized for nearly five hours during our road trip from Nevada to Oregon. It was fun to listen to, and the humor was sometimes absurd and other times wry. It did bother me, a bit, that Araminta sabotaging her parental figure, Aunt Tabby, was the major plot conflict in this story.
