Inconsistency: At the beginning when they were transported to Hell the beings in charge of transporting them were Mechs and Witches (which every one fears, are creepy, etc). But upon returning from Hell with the conjuring ball the transport beings are suddenly Mechs and Magicians and there is no mention of creepiness, fear, etc even though the magicians interact with the group regarding the conjuring ball and Amelia is freely sent off with them for them to study her time travel abilities/location. I was surprised to find that I had to drag myself through Charlaine Harris' story when she was the first among the authors here that I've read. It didn't feel like a Sookie Stackhouse story to me. It was also the weakest in this compilation. Anyway, I picked this book up because of Nalini Singh and I picked up Meljean Brook's guardian series after this (I just finished the last of that series recently). I want to check out the works of the other authors now.
Some interesting stories, some not. That is why I like this type of anthology. I find new authors!

I just read Charlaine Harris's short story, as it fits into the Sookie Stackhouse world.
